Welcome everyone. So glad you are here and among the first to help us create and support this community :). Those needing to know how to say this word and what its meaning, it is pronounced cyber-ae-thee-uh. In fact the first part is where the word Sybir originates as a phonetic respelling of the word. Back in June of 2013 I came up with this word form only because at the time a dot com was already taken but it never had an associated name or business. I was looking for a word that would align with cyber-space but decided some distinctions need to be made. As some may remember, I was TalismanSkulls before, during and after Kaneva. I had planned on this kind of project as early as 2013 when I started seeing things deleted on Old K and the constant messing around with the UI, and having learned there was no pans for it to ever come out of Beta as a "legal loophole." About March 2016 I said my Farewell to Kaneva because I saw the indicators what was going to occur, and though many held on for Dear K Life, I was more annoyed by the fact that I only learned of the Farewell Party a month after the fact and had no way to go back and grab things like pics of locations and what not for keepsakes. So in January of 2017 I began working on creating the 3D world intended now and for the next 3 years and 2 months I worked on in the 3D side of things, teaching myself everything I could, struggling but busting my hump to near completion of a demo. Then we also had all the fires and chaos, and my PC got fried, my back-up files were destroyed and I announced I was sorry but I lost everything so was unable to continue. It was a huge blow to me after all that work alone just for it to get yanked away like that. I made the announcement of this occurring back in February 2021. Christ Nordstrom of Old Norse Game Studios having saw my post and knowing first hand how much work I was doing offered to volunteer and help, with sound advice to just take a few days to clear my head and if I was still wanting to make this thing happen, with his help we could start from catch, get the bearing and proceed from there. While others were asking me to not give up, with his skill and experience and willingness to partner up in this so I did not have to try this all again alone I picked myself up by the short hairs and by March 1, 2021, I created the company Sybirathia LLC from the base name Sybirathia for the game. I then took registrations further by being listed in the FCC database, and secured the added DUNS number from Duns & Bradstreet. So you all know about the base line plans The next step has been this, getting the Website up to par, working and ready to go and paying for all the features and hosting it needs and announcing the welcoming of members and volunteers to help with creation of scenes (zones and rooms as others tend to refer to such) for the various environments as also user made content to be submitted and considered for the creation of the world pace itself. This is also so it is more diverse in appearance and presentation so my personal style does not run the gambit. Once we create the environments together and its content (assets) and with everyone pulling together to make that part happen, Chris will be able to, as he put it, "code the shit out of it." So the first part will be a working demo and before that is placed on any servers it will be downloaded as a testable game for people to give feed back on. Once we get all the feedback with the mechanics (how things are moving, UI navigation working, interacting with objects in the environment, the primary animations, etc.) we can then work out the bugs, apply the fiixes and work towards connecting the game as a Beta Run on servers with active registration and login to the game and how it is working in this MMO state. Again we will work on the things based on the feedback, optimize things as much as possible add the accounting/transaction parts in full function and give it another test run. Based on this process and results, if we get it all handled, every 't' is crossed and 'i' is dotted and every box checked, it will come out of Beta immediately thereafter. Any addtions we apply wil simply be updates and we will work on bugs that may occur as a result. So none of that perpetual never ending Beta story. 😋 That is when I will personally submit it for review and rating with the ESRB. When that occurs you will all see a 'Rating Pending' label and notice issued by them that will be applied to the game and here on the website. Once their reviews are complete and they give us a determination. Since 2012 they have streamlined their rating method to provide a no cost No-Cost Rating Service To All Digitally Delivered Games. In other words games that are distributed and accessed online only which is what we are doing. As to why this is importantto have, its very simple. "ESRB ratings provide information about what's in a game or app so parents and consumers can make informed choices about which games are right for their family." This will help with establishing the reputation of this company, the community and the game itself in reviews and wider commercial advertising, will help us attract potential sponsors to help fund and keep this all alive and take this kind of project to a greater potential of longevity which will contribute to its overall success and that we do not loose this so abruptly as we have had to deal with before. A closing note today Always remember this about me if nothing else. I am serious about the integrity of this company, the creation of this game, and bringing us all back together so we wount all be cast off wandering and scattered perpetually to the four winds of the internet. I laid the foundations, Christ is giving us the tools, and each one of you through your efforts and support are not just members of this community but the co-creators of this world that will give to its the heart, soul and spirit it needs. No, we are not trying to reinvent the wheel, but we are giving it some serious new tread. Take care all and Happy Holidays!
